Linford Berry

Linford has a wide variety of experience in real estate, automotive, and the agricultural industry with deep roots in the Shenandoah Valley. For 20 years Linford worked in agriculture as a dairy and poultry farmer along with a stint managing a feed mill and grain elevator. For the past 20 years he has owned Mountain Valley Motors LLC, an automotive sales company in Dayton VA. In 2016, Linford graduated from the World Wide College of Auctioneering and started Mountain Valley Auction Group which has grown into one of the Shenandoah Valley’s premier auction companies selling real estate, ag equipment, vehicles and machinery. Linford is a licensed real estate agent in Virginia and a licensed auctioneer in 3 states. He has conducted auctions all over the Mid-Atlantic region and beyond.

Linford’s passion for the auction industry has been demonstrated by his commitment to continuing education. He is a graduate of the Certified Auctioneers Institute (CAI) and holds the Accredited Auctioneer of Real Estate (AARE) and the Auction Marketing and Management (AMM) designations from the National Auction Association. In addition, he is an adjunct professor at Blue Ridge Community College teaching classes about auctions and marketing.

He is the 2023 Virginia State Champion Auctioneer, 2022 Mid Atlantic Bid Calling Champion, The 2023 Virginia Ringman Champion, 2019 West Virginia Ringman Champion. Linford is well known for his energetic and engaging stage presence along with his clear, rhythmic chant. Linford is a member of, and past board of director for the Virginia Independent Automobile Dealers Association, member and past board member of the Virginia Auctioneers Association, member of the West Virginia Auctioneers Association, The National Auction Association, the Auctioneers Association of Maryland, and the National Independent Automobile Dealers Association.
